FMG raises shipping target

Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) has increased its iron ore shipping guidance for the current financial year to between 160 Mt and 165 Mt, from a previous range of 155 Mt to 160 Mt.The higher goal, made public this week with the fiscal Q3 production report for its mines in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, reflects a strong operational performance for the year to date and the continued drive to lower production costs, the company said.
