Indian steel maker Tata Steel, which has a strong presence in Europe, posted a net loss of INR490 M ($7.23M, ?6.66 M) in its fiscal Q2, ended 30 September. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had estimated a netprofit of INR7.95 bn in the second quarter.The year-ago earnings were INR56.1 bn, and included the benefit of a one-time gain of INR77.9bn.
