CSN mulls production and job cuts

Brazilian steel maker CSN says it is considering shutting down blast furnace No.2 at its VoltaRedonda works early in 2016. Up to 3,000 direct and indirect jobs could go, according to mediareports.The BF accounts for around 30% of the 5.6 Mt/y crude steel capacity at the mill in Rio de Janeirostate.
