摘要

The focus of this study was mainly on the useof scrap poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) in poly(butyleneterephthalate)-rich blend systems. A good combination oftensile and impact properties was observed in the newlyformed blend system with scrap PET. The morphologydepicted controlled and well-dispersed phases. The thoroughmixing of the constituents was observed in the thermal study.For this innovative blend system, an attempt to correlate the mechanical, thermal, structural, morphological propertiesand the chemistry of the blend system seemed to be technoe-conomical. This study contributed to the recycling of waste material.
