Hibernia adds Ireland to Hibernia Express

TE Subcom has been awarded a further contract to manufacture cable to add to the 4,600 km Hibernia Express subsea cable that it is making for global network company, Hibernia Networks.The Hibernia Express subsea cable will run between New York and London, connecting Halifax, Nova Scotia and Brean, UK. Hibernia Networks said that it will land a direct connection of its Hibernia Express cable to Cork, Ireland via a new landing station. Hibernia is the only transatlantic cable provider to own and operate three diverse cable landing stations in Ireland and the only provider with six diverse routes connecting Ireland to North America and Europe on its wholly owned and operated infrastructure.
