Prysmian, Nexans and ABB hand over Skagerrak 4

The world's two largest cable producers have handed over the Skagerrak 4 HVDC interconnection between Norway and Denmark to customers Energinet.dk and Statnett. Norway's Statnett and Denmark's Energinett.dk awarded the contracts for the cable system to France's Nexans and Italy'sPrysmian in 2011. Meanwhile, Switzerland'sABB delivered the two 700-MW Voltage SourceConverter (VSC) stations for the project.
