Tata Steel UK has agreed to sell its Clydebridge and Dalzell mills in Scotland, which were mothballed aspart of the group's exit from European plate production last year.The plants, which accounted for 270 of the total 1,200 jobs lost, were put on care and maintenance (CRUViews - Steel, 21 October 2015). Dalzell transforms slab into plate, while Clydebridge processes the plateusing the quench and tempering method.
