Krakatau Steel issues tender to build HRC mill

Indonesia's Krakatau Steel is building a hot strip mill (HSM) with a capacity of 1.5 million t/year to beoperational by mid-2019. Basic engineering for the project will be completed by 2017.The company issued a tender November 1, 2016, saying that it is planning to build capacity for hot rolled coil(HRC) to "meet the needs of the domestic market" and is looking for consultants to oversee and advise onthe project.
