Court approves Samarco agreement

Brazil's federal court of appeal has ratified a long-term remedial and compensation framework agreedbetween iron ore joint venture Samarco, its 50:50 shareholders BHP Billiton and Vale, and the Brazilianauthorities.The deal follows the collapse of the Fundao tailings dam last November which killed 19 people and pollutedthe River Doce valley basin.
