In Reply As Dr Baum notes, the opportunity to individualize preventive measures to meet the clinical circumstances of each patient may be an important strategy to make prevention more meaningful, tangible, and acceptable to a patient. One means to accomplish this goal is to identify the subset of general preventive care guidelines that offer the greatest benefit to a patient's specific clinical circumstances.
