Cancer now leading cause of death in US hispanics

Even though cancer now claims more Hispanic lives than any other disease, the report indicates that incidence and death rates for all cancers combined and for the 4 most common cancers— breast, prostate, lung and bronchus, and colorectal—are lower among Hispanic populations than in non-Hispanic white individuals. A notable example is lung cancer, for which incidence and death rates among Hispanic populations are half of those in non-Hispanic whites.
