Global Solar-cell Supply Likely to Far Exceed Demand in 2010

The world appears destined for a serious oversupply of solar-cell production capacity,because of a spate of projects,mainly located in Asia,to build new plants or expand existing facilities for solar-cell manufacture.These projects,if materialized as scheduled,would raise the global output capacity for solar cells to 10 GW in 2010 against an estimated demand of 5.6 GW for that year.
