According to the EIA, the national average retail price for regular gasoline was $2.149/gal on Aug. 15, a 0.1c/gal slip from the Aug. 8 price, nearly flat but marking the ninth straight weekly decline, while RFG's national average was $2.262/gal, a 1.9c/gal decrease on the week. Houston, Texas' $1.891/gal was the lowest price for both regular gasoline and RFG, while San Francisco, California's $2.710/gal was the highest for both grades.
