WTO sides with Argentina over EU on protective tariff.

On March 29, the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruled in favor of Argentina and against the anti-dumping duties imposed by the EU on biodiesel from the country. Argentina began proceedings in Dec. 2013, after the EU imposed a tariff on the fuel that ranged from ?216.64-?245.67/mt ($245.39-278.27/mt). The EU claimed that it was preventing subsidized Argentine biofuels from undercutting its own producers, but the WTO said that actual Argentine production costs had not been properly calculated, leaving the EU's tariff out of step with accepted practice.
