Steel producers in China are starting to shut down mills, with more closures to come, says sectorbody Cisa.They are being forced to act because steel prices are at a decade low, demand is shrinking, tightercredit is making business more difficult, and losses are soaring. The major steel makers suffered acombined loss of RM 28.12 bn ($4.42 bn, ?4.00 bn) in the first three quarters of this year, the ChinaIron and Steel Association (Cisa) said.
