Pittsburgh-headquartered US Steel says it will cut around a quarter of its non-unionised workforce. Though it did not provide a figure, media reports suggest the number of posts to go is 750."This is part of the ongoing adjustment to staff levels and operations due to challenging market conditions, including fluctuating oil prices, reduced rig counts, depressed steel prices and unfairly traded imports," a company spokeswoman said.
