Vale lowers iron ore guidance

Brazilian miner Vale has reduced its estimated production of iron ore next year to between 360 Mt and 380Mt, from a previous target of 380 Mt to 400 Mt. Market observers say the downward adjustment is the resultof the company phasing out higher cost production.
