China’s Steel Market in 4th Week of Mar/Upward Trend in Prices Continues

In the Chinese steel market in the 4th week of March, an upward trend in prices continued except prices of someitems. In the Shanghai area, the price of hot-rolled (HR) steel coils rose by 100 CNY ($15) from the previous week. Thatin the Wuhan and Beijing areas also rose by 160 CNY ($25) and 110 CNY ($17) respectively. Starting in this week, therewere some areas of a rise in prices and a fall in prices, and it showed a patchy appearance. The market prices are likelyto rise gradually with no monotonous rise in prices.
