JPN’s LNG Import Price to Up to US$10 CIF Due to Rising Crude Oil Price

The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ) recently published the report, in which it showed its prospectsthat prices of LNG imported to Japan would go up to around US$10/MMBTU CIF Japan at the end of this year. Takinginto account the strong correlations between the import prices of LNG and crude oil, IEEJ calculated future LNG pricesbased on those of crude oil that has so far been imported to Japan.
