LNG Canada Applies for License to Export LNG for Term of 40 Years

LNG Canada Development Inc. owned by Royal Dutch Shell, etc., applied to the National Energy Board (NEB)for a license to export LNG for a term of 40 years in accordance with the Canadian government’s announcement tointend to increase the maximum term of national gas export licenses from 25 years to 40 years.The application was made by LNG Canada to export up to 26 million tons per year of LNG over 40 yearscommencing on the date of first export of LNG under the license.
