Rio Tinto Delivers Market Outlook of Iron Ore by 2030

Rio Tinto has become a topic of conversation by its bold prediction for the outlook of the steel industry by 2030being 15 years later at an investor seminar held on 3rd in Sydney. Andrew Harding, Rio Tinto Iron Ore chief executive,made a speech, and his key points were i) the global steel demand will grow by around 2.5% per year between now and2030, ii) the global iron ore demand will increase to 3 billion tons by 2030, iii) Chinese crude steel production will reacharound 1 billion tons by 2030, iv) 220 million Chinese will urbanize by 2030, compared with 320 million between 2000 and2015, and so on.
