China’s Steel Import by Item in Sep.

The Japan Iron & Steel Federation compiled lately China’s import quantity of steel products by item in September. According to it, China’s import quantity of steel products (except semi-finished products) in September was 1,360 thousand tons (abbreviated as t/t), up 190 t/t from the previous month and up 9.5% from the same month last year, which had again increased to the level since April 2011 (1,370 t/t). Its cumulative import quantity in January-September was 11,010 t/t, up 5.0% from the same period last year at a more rapid pace than the level of the previous year.
