Japan Silicon Metal Receipts Up, Inventory Up also - March 2012

The aluminum alloy industry received deliveries of 3,849 tons of silicon metal in March, up from February by 9.6%. The industry consumed 4,035 tons of the metal, up by 6.2% from the preceding month. The stocks of silicon metal within the industry also increased to 3,229 tons at the end of March, up by 3.6%, as the industry received more that it consumed in the month, making the month-end inventory/monthly consumption ratio smaller, 0.80 months.
