The year of 2011 was probably not a good one for the producers of the electrolytic manganese metal in China that had been rapidly growing in the market because of its price competitiveness, apart from its quality. Reportedly the demand in 2011 from domestic sectors was down by 31 % from 2010, and the demand for export was also down by 27.6%.
