Washing Plant At Elga Coal Mine Commences Trial Operation

Mechel OAO, a major metal resources company in Russia announced on 2nd of October (1st, local time) that it has commenced trial operation of washing plant installed at Elga coal mine in the Republic of Sakha. Although Elga coal mine started coal production in August, 2011, coals produced at this coal mine has been sold as unwashed thermal coal to customers in Russian domestic markets as there was no washing plant.
