The price in China of high-carbon ferrochrome has been almost flat to date after the end-October drop. The quoted prices by major SUS mills in China at the end-October for November deliveries were: TISCO: purchased 20,000 tons at RMB6,850/ton, down RMB250/ton from October, Baosteel: RMB7,000/ton, down RMB100/ ton, and JISCO: RMB6,900/ton, down RMB50/ton, immediately influencing the prices in local markets in China to drop RMB 100/ton, after which they were kept basically unchanged, encouraging the market to feel that bottom-out might be near with little price changes so far until November 15. Other mills also cut prices by RMB50 - 100/ton.
