Yamato Kogyo Co saw the net profit increase by 31.6% from a year ago to Y8,688 million in its consolidated earnings results for fiscal 2011 (April 2011-March 2012). The company announced its consolidated results of Y157,902 million in sales for fiscal 2011, up 17.3% from a year ago; Y5,258 million in operating profit, up 125.7%; Y13,978 million in pretax profit, up 36.8%; and Y8,688 million in net profit, up 31.6%. The ratio of pretax profit to sales stood at 8.9%, up from 7.6% in the year before.
