JFE Steel To Offer Price Increase Of Hot Coils By 30-50 dollars For Jan. Shipment

JFE Steel is going to offer price increase of hot-rolled steel coils for Asia by 30 to 50 dollars from the current level for shipment of January next year. JFE is expected to start its negotiations within days. As for shipment of February/March, JFE will decide its price looking at the results of January shipment, and will raise its price to the level to enable reproduction under the policy of continuation of price increase. The company decreased its export quantity of hot coils by 10 to 15% in this quarter, and intends to control further its export quantity from January onward giving priority to its price.
