Chinese major steelmakers Baoshan Iron & Steel (Baosteel), Anshan Iron & Steel (Ansteel) and Maanshan Iron & Steel (Masteel) each announced their financial results of the year 2010 (nonconsolidated basis). All three companies recorded sales and profit of double-digit growth from the previous year. This is partially due to the rather poor business performance in 2009 under the influence of Lehman's fall. In 2010, the price increase in iron ore was absorbed by lifted steel sales price. Figures are on a nonconsolidated basis.
