Major suppliers of the United States have embarked on expansion of semi-bituminous coal exports to the Asian Region. Looking at the rising demand for coal for electric power generation in China, India and so on, Arch Coal Inc. and Peabody Energy Corp. are planning to export large quantity of semi-bituminous coal produced at Powder River Basin to Asian countries.
