Dow Corning of the USA participated in December of 2009 in a 49% of the capital in Alloy Plant of Globe Metallurgical Inc., located in West Virginia State of the USA, and launched to secure a stable supply of silicon metal. Following this acquisition of the source for silicon metal, many works to ensure the supply of silicon metal at once became active in 2010 in Europe and the USA.
