Coal exports by one of the major coal producers of Russia, Siberian Coal Energy Co., (SUEK), to the Asian Region are expected to increase to 11 million MT to 12 million MT in 2010. Its large scale coal shipping terminal Vanino Bulk Terminal in Muchka Bay enters into full stride operation. Coal shipments in 2010 are expected to increase to 8 million MT to 9 million MT. For information in 2009 coal shipments reached 5,151,000 MT with a significant increase from the planned shipments of 4 million MT even though the terminal just opened operation.
