Peabody Expands Wilpinjong Coal Mine-Increases production of export thermal coal by 2 to 3 million MT per year-

Peabody Energy Corp. of the United States expands the existing coal mine Wilpinjong mine in New South Wales, Australia, by pouring in 90 million US dollars. As a result, thermal coal production increases by 2 million MT to 3 million MT per year as of early 2012. The increased portion of the production is exported to the Asian Region and other markets through the new coal terminal, Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) Terminal at Newcastle.
