Let us trace the supply and demand of manganese ferro-alloys in Japan for January - September of 2008 as well as for July - September of the year. According to our survey, being supported by a favorable tone of steel production as continued up to autumn of this year, the quantities of all manganese ferro-alloys produced and consumed in Japan for January - September of 2008 had increased in comparison with those for the same period of 2007. However, reflecting the global crisis of economy, the world production of crude steel has turned to decrease from November and the circumstances on steel production have changed in October - December quarter but the world output of crude steel was able to have maintained a favorable tone up to the first 9 months (January - September) of 2008.
