I was delighted last April 2012 to be elected onto the English Pharmacy Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and what a year it has been. With a rapidly changing NHS landscape, the rebalancing of regulations affecting pharmacy, the emergence of the General Pharmaceutical Council as a robust regulatory body, "just culture" an aspiration, and a surplus of pharmacists emerging from universities, we could understandably as a profession feel overwhelmed and a little daunted by the challenges of the future.
