Call for 'radical simplification' of NHS IG toolkit

A RADICAL simplification of the NHS information governance toolkit has been called for by pharmacy organisations. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee and Pharmacy Voice argue that there is scope to reduce bureaucracy and to move away from the current tickbox exercise and towards a system that empowers NHS staff to use their professional judgement to manage rather than avoid risks.
