GPhC 'security breach' under investigation

THE General Pharmaceutical Council is being investigated by the Information Commissioner after it mistakenly failed to redact the address of a principal witness in a fitness-to-practise case when it sent a statement to a registrant under investigation. The GPhC told The Journal that tiie Information Commissioner has requested information about the incident, the GPhC's policies and procedures, its handling of the incident and how it was learning from the incident. No one from the Information Commissioner's office has visited the GPhC offices, it confirmed.
