I was interested to see that seven-and-a-half minutes is the average waiting time for a prescription to be dispensed {PJ, 25 February 2012, p236) and, from my perspective as a patient who has a long-term condition, I wonder if this is sometimes not just pharmacy propaganda.I do my best to be friendly in a community pharmacy and recently gave a pharmacist over an hour to dispense a medicine, but the prescription still was not ready when I returned. The pharmacist barefacedly denied it was not ready as I stood there a further 10 minutes.
