Preregistration places should determine the intake of students

I have read all the letters and articles in the PJ regarding the regulation of student numbers {PJ, 9 November 2013, p494, 2 November 2013, p462, and 14 September 2013, p246). Having considered the three proposals from the Higher Education Funding Council for England, for me "it's a no brainer".We simply cannot allow a market-driven policy because there are too many schools of pharmacy, resulting in lots of competition for few jobs.
