How a mid-air medical emergency launched my travel medicine career and why the new Royal Pharmaceutical Society Faculty wilt improve my future prospects

AS A community pharmacist I was involved in the regular supply of over-the-counter medicines for malaria prophylaxis along with the prevention and treatment of bites, motion sickness and travellers' upset stomachs. My first real interest and awareness of the role that a pharmacist could play in the ever expanding travel market came from a personal journey when returning on board a flight from Canada.
