摘要

The findings of the recent study commissioned by the General Medical Council that calls for more pharmacist input to reduce GP prescribing errors (PJ, 5 May, 2012, p547) creates an opportunity that the profession must grab with both hands. Although I see prescribing error reduction as the most important benefit of this collaboration, at the same time, I see the profession benefiting in other areas such as job creation and fulfilment, as well as professional enhancement for pharmacists.
