New local leadership toolkit launched

IN A new initiative to provide support for local events, the RPS local practice forum team has launched its first action pack. The aim of each pack is to develop best practice locally aligned to national pharmacy board priorities. Every pack contains a specific activity that can be run locally by members, on a range of topics related to these priorities. The first, "Responsible pharmacist: the facts", has been launched via the LPF leadership network and is based on the theme of professional empowerment, which all three national boards have prioritised. The pack addresses the practical requirements of the RP legislation while looking at the different contexts where it applies. The central resource within the action pack is a presentation written by Heidi Wright, England's practice and policy lead. It can be given by any member with experience of working as an RP. Also in the action pack are instructions on how to organise the activity, its requirements and a step-by-step guide to running it.
