ENSURING residents get their medicines ontime is a problem in over a third (35 per cent)of England's care homes, according to a reportfrom the Care Quality Commission.CQC inspection teams visited 81 care homes,interviewing managers, residents and staff, ob-serving care and examining case files. Goodpractice was noted in areas such as recordingmedicines errors, with 93 per cent of homes in-dicating that they always record medicineserrors and have arrangements in place to learnfrom errors relating to the prescribing, moni-toring, dispensing or administering of drugs.
