MANUFACTURERS of medicines are being put under increasing pressure to relax medicines quotas during the London 2012 Olympic Games, in order to avoid potential problems with the supply chain in the capital.NHS London confirmed this week that it has written to manufacturers requesting that they consider relaxing quotas during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which spans a period extending frqm 27 July to 9 September 2012.An NHS London spokesman said: "We have not asked for the lifting of quotas - indeed, we acknowledge the role that quotas play in ensuring the pharmacy supply chain.
