There is a reason it's called trash. Non-lint materials not only affect cotton quality, they can shorten the life of expensive processing machinery. High-volume testers can only measure trash on the surface optically, which doesn't tell the whole story. Standalone gravimetric trash measurement instruments are often compromised by human errors and are not easily integrated to high-volume cotton testers.
