Contractors in Scotland set to receive up to ￡800

CONTRACTORS in Scotland are eligible to receive payments of up to ￡800 this year, following negotiations between Community Pharmacy Scotland and the Scottish Government. The Government has scrapped the deadline for submitting a claim form confirming completion of the training module for the quality and efficiency initiative. Instead, an automatic payment of ￡400, made in March 2012, will now be made to contractors who have reached a minimum 80 per cent threshold for electronic scanning and claiming of prescriptions. Those who are not currently achieving this level will have until April 2012 to reach the target.
