CQC reveals sub-standard medicines management

MEDICINES management has been identified by Care Quality Commission inspectors as one of three problem areas that need to be addressed by care providers in England. Record keeping and staffing were the other areas flagged as needing work. Of more than 14,000 health and social care providers that were inspected, 17 per cent failed to meet expected standards of medicines management, a CQC report says.
