New Dupuytren's contracture therapy

Patients suffering from Dupuytren's contracture now have a new treatment option.CoUagenase Clostridium histolyticum, marketed as Xiapex, has been available to order via Pfizer's direct-to-pharmacy distribution scheme since 28 March 2011. The product is a formulation of two collagenase enzymes co-expressed and harvested from anaerobic fermentation of a phenotypically selected strain of Clostridium histolyticum.
