Frustration for Wigan pharmacy as care record pilot makes slow start

A SLOW start to the summary care record pilot, partly because of a lack of engagement by GPs, is leading to frustration for the community pharmacist who was first in England to implement access to the system. Vinod Patel has used the new electronic system only once since it went live in his Brad-shaw Street community pharmacy in Wigan at the end of May (Pf, 4 June 2011, p650).
