摘要

The consultation on control of entry arrangements in Scotland (PJ, 3/10 April 2010, p329) was brought about by campaigns run by GP practices in rural areas trying to prevent the opening of local community pharmacies, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has said. In the Society's response to the consultation, director for Scotland Lyndon Braddick said: "These campaigns have been unhelpful as they have unnecessarily raised tensions between GPs and community pharmacists, and caused needless anxiety in a number of rural communities."
